Every thing has its place
The general rule of thumb is “if you can’t find what you are looking for in 30 seconds or less, it is not where it belongs”. Now, personally, I find this a little harsh since it takes me more than 30 seconds to get to the room where the thing I’m looking for is located in the first place. The point of the saying is: every thing has its proper place where it belongs. The more organized you are, the easier it is to find items when you want them and the less time is wasted (that could be utilized for important things … like copywriting for Kevin Hogan’s IMWW course).
Today, utilize your 15 minute organization time to just sit and think about how you could be better organized (filing cabinets, storage boxes, stackable containers, disaster on your table/desk, bills, what to do with ‘socks without mates’ that have disappeared in the washer or dryer …). That’s it. NO physical activity whatsoever.
Tomorrow we will start in with some very easy to implement ideas to help you around your home and/or office.
Until then….

I can't agree more. When every thing has its place, you save yourself so much time and stress. I'm already pretty tidy but I'm sure there's room for improvement - I'll look at that when I'm back home tomorrow.
Thank you for your valuable baby steps series Sue.

I love giving everything its assigned place. Clothes on the hanger, keys on the hook, pens in the stand, ice cream in the belly. ;-)
Life is so much easier when you know where things outght to be!
I'm looking forward to your series...

The organization bug....I think that skipped me. I think we all have our own styles mine I would say is an eclectic mixture It may not look pretty but I always know were things are.
I would like to change that in the future. On a daily basis I've got my hands in so many cookie jars it's tough to tell a chacolate from an oatmeal. With this process though I can see it getting trimmed down a bit.
Thanks Sue
