Review Day
Already? Yes. A whole week has gone by...
This week we worked on:
-
Add another ¼ to ½ cup of water to daily intake
-
Walking a little more than normal each day
-
Walking backward
-
Walking sideways
-
Calf stretch
-
The evil plank
-
Do your remember the meaning of proprioception?
-
Line drying clothes
Last week review:
-
Add ¼ to ½ cup of water to daily intake
-
Try one new fruit or vegetable
-
Attempt to eat a fruit or vegetable of each colour daily
-
Not look at your scale
-
Use a smaller plate at lunch/dinner
-
Sleep a little better
-
Clean up for one or two 15 minute segments
I trust you are adding in what you can each day. Most of these 'baby steps' require little or no extra time in your daily schedule and are very easy to incorporate. If you are able to keep them up for 6 weeks, they will become part of your 'routine'; if you keep them up for 12 weeks, you are on your way to a new 'lifestyle'.
Looking forward…
This upcoming week will feature baby steps to home and office organization.
To your ongoing success…

Good thing you're having this review day. I had already forgotten several baby steps I had decided to try. Starting walking sideways straight away.

Lapse back day? Little bit at a time.

Thanks for the review, Sue. I like your reviews, as it's easy to forget to do the small things that you haven't yet assimilated into the daily routine.

The fruit was brown almost had a bark type skin to it..... Ahhh....
I'm thinking that the fruit must never go bad .....At alll.... People can't possibly eat that. The one I had had to have been there for a year....at least

I've definitely never heard of it .... I'm on a quest now to find one.

Matt: I found this. Does it sound like what you tried?
Q: What fruit is shaped like a hedgehog and smells like compost?

First thing, Lisa, whenever you remember, SUCK IN THE GUT all day ... continue to breathe normally. Sit up straight; relax shoulders consciously (they creep up to your ears when you're not thinking about them). Do shoulder rolls; head rolls and neck stretches once an hour. Get up at least once an hour and go for a little walk (even a minute or two). Have water available to sip all day. Yes, I have tons of exercises for 'desk jockies' -- perhaps I'll post some this week. Good idea.
